About

Hello, my name is Abdullah Musa, and I’m the creator of MusaBase.com. I’m a Computer Science student with a strong passion for operating systems, open-source technologies, and hands-on problem solving. Over the past few years, I’ve installed, configured, and experimented with countless Linux distributions, BSD systems, and Windows setups, both on real hardware and in virtualized environments.

I started this blog on July 1, 2025, with the goal of sharing my personal experiences, step-by-step guides, and troubleshooting tips to make complex setups more accessible for everyone, from beginners exploring Linux for the first time to advanced users experimenting with virtualization or GPU passthrough.

What You’ll Find Here

On this blog, I share:

  • In-depth tutorials on Linux distros such as Arch Linux, Gentoo, Debian, and others.
  • Guides for virtualization (QEMU, GPU passthrough, WSL, ChromeOS Flex, SteamOS, etc.).
  • BSD desktop environments (FreeBSD, OpenBSD with KDE, XFCE, and more).
  • Tips, tricks, and troubleshooting advice based on real tests, screenshots, and my own system builds.

Every guide published here is created from first-hand experience. I personally test each installation, configuration, and setup in a controlled environment before writing. My goal is to ensure the tutorials are practical, accurate, and easy to follow, not just theory or reworded documentation.

Why Trust This Blog

  • Experience: All tutorials are based on my own systems and real-world testing.
  • Transparency: I include screenshots, configs, and commands exactly as I used them.
  • Clarity: My guides are structured step-by-step, so even complex setups are approachable.
  • Continuous Learning: As a Computer Science student, I stay updated with new tools, technologies, and methods, and I keep updating content to reflect the latest changes.

This is not just a blog, it’s a documentation of my personal learning journey, which I share openly to help others.
